SAMPLE: Project Manager Job Description:

This position is largely work from home; it will begin with an Independent Contractor hire, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time. Room for growth and for a transition to a more design-focused role, if skills & interest are demonstrated. 

Responsibilities:

  • Generating purchase orders, quote requests, and client proposals

  • Placing & expediting orders, coordinating returns

  • Managing the sample library

  • Arranging deliveries and appointments, managing project calendars, scheduling with vendors & clients

  • Recording and compiling meeting notes

  • Coordination of and presence at project installs

  • Assisting with online shop production and order fulfillment

Requirements:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill and consolidate information into concise updates

  • An extremely organized personality, with a “zero inbox” state of mind

  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, Powerpoint / Google Slides

  • Based in Los Angeles, with a driver's license and reliable car

  • Ability to perform occasional physical work associated with the job, such as merchandise returns and light furniture lifting during installs

  • Two professional references
